North Kiaka Mine

SIMCOA currently operate the Moora Quartzite Mine (Moora Mine), approximately 15 km north of Moora in the Wheatbelt of Western Australia (WA).

A proposed expansion of the existing Moora Mine, known as the North Kiaka Project Quartzite Mine Expansion was referred to the Department of Climate Change, Environment, Energy and Water (DCCEEW), on 25 November 2021 and received approval in September 2025. Approval was granted under the Environmental Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999 (EPBC Act), with EPBC 2021/9089 issued.

Under Condition 16,17, 18 and 19 of EPBC 2021/9089 SIMCOA are required to prepare an Annual Compliance Report.

Within Simcoa

Simcoa employees and working contractors are required to abide by a range of policies for their protection and protection of the environment and product quality. The major policies include:
