Simcoa Mines operate Simcoa's quartzite mine at Moora, 180km north of Perth. This supplies all the high purity quartzite the Kemerton silicon manufacturing plant requires. But not all the quartz mined is suitable for silicon production so this quartz material is sold to industry, construction and landscaping markets for use in exposed aggregate, concrete, architecture and garden features.
